PROFESSIONAL & MANAGED SERVICES

Expert Engineering From Strategy to Production Operations.

Work with one team across architecture, platform delivery, migration, optimization and managed operations. Our services span the commercial partner ecosystem and independently supported community platforms, so the same engineers who design your platform can build it, tune it, operate it and hand it over to your teams.

SERVICE LINES

Six Ways to Engage Bassirah Engineering

Start with a single focused engagement or combine services across the platform lifecycle. Each service has a defined scope, documented deliverables and acceptance criteria agreed before work begins.

ADVISE

Consulting & Architecture

Make the right platform decision before you commit. Workload analysis, architectural options, TCO and licensing evaluation, and a phased roadmap.

BUILD

Implementation & Integration

Deploy platforms that work together in production, with infrastructure as code, identity and network integration, connectors, tests and observability.

MODERNIZE

Migration & Modernization

Modernize with traceability and controlled risk. Inventory, compatibility assessment, parallel runs, reconciliation and rollback-ready cutovers.

OPTIMIZE

Performance & Security Optimization

Remove bottlenecks, improve control and reduce waste using workload evidence, platform telemetry and security reviews.

OPERATE

Managed Services

Operate critical platforms with defined accountability: monitoring, incident response, patch coordination and DR exercises under contracted terms.

TRAIN

Training & Enablement

Build internal capability that lasts beyond go-live through role-based bootcamps, labs, operations drills and runbook workshops.

CONNECTED DELIVERY

One Lifecycle, Not Six Silos

Most platform problems start at the boundaries: an architecture that was never sized for real workloads, a deployment handed over without runbooks, a migration that left no reconciliation evidence, or an operations team that inherited a platform it was never trained on.

Bassirah services are designed to connect. Architecture decisions become the implementation backlog. Implementation produces the runbooks that managed operations rely on. Optimization findings feed back into architecture. Enablement runs alongside delivery, not after it.

  • Architecture decision records carry forward into build and operations.
  • The same engineering standards apply to partner-led and open-source platforms.
  • Knowledge transfer is planned from the first week, not left to the final handover.
  • You can stop after any phase with complete, usable documentation.
Bassirah service lifecycle: advise, build, modernize, optimize and operate in a continuous loop, with training and enablement running across every phase.

PLATFORM COVERAGE

Services Across Both Portfolios

Our services apply to platforms delivered through strategic technology partners and to community platforms supported independently by Bassirah. The engineering is consistent; the support and commercial model differ.

PARTNER-LED

Strategic Technology Partners

Services delivered alongside each vendor’s commercial program. Where you hold vendor subscriptions, licensed capabilities and vendor-backed support may apply, and Bassirah coordinates with vendor channels where your contract allows.

OPEN-SOURCE-FIRST

Independent Open-Source Support

Independent Bassirah engineering for community platforms: architecture, deployment, tuning, troubleshooting and contracted operations, with no implied vendor endorsement or upstream support rights.

Support boundaries.

Bassirah services for open-source and community platforms are independent engineering services. They do not include upstream vendor support, vendor long-term-support releases, vendor security fixes or vendor escalation unless these are separately contracted with the relevant vendor. Partner-led services are subject to each vendor’s product licensing and entitlements.

ENGAGEMENT MODEL

How a Bassirah Engagement Works

Whichever service you start with, the shape of the engagement is the same: clear scope first, evidence throughout, and a documented handover at the end.

  1. Discovery callWe discuss your objectives, current stack, constraints and timelines, and confirm which service, or combination, fits.
  2. Scope and acceptance criteriaWe agree on scope, deliverables, responsibilities, prerequisites and the criteria that define “done” before work starts.
  3. Delivery in phasesWork proceeds in reviewable phases with regular checkpoints, decision logs and early visibility of risks.
  4. Validation and evidenceResults are tested against the agreed criteria, with test outputs, benchmarks or reconciliation evidence where relevant.
  5. Handover and next stepYou receive documentation, runbooks and knowledge transfer, plus a recommendation for what comes next, if anything.

DELIVERY STANDARDS

What Every Engagement Includes

  • Documented scope, assumptions and acceptance criteria agreed up front
  • A named delivery lead and a clear responsibility matrix (RACI)
  • Security and access practices aligned to your policies
  • Decision records explaining why, not just what
  • Knowledge transfer sessions for your engineering and operations teams
  • Written documentation and runbooks you keep, whatever happens next

WHERE TO START

Not Sure Which Service You Need?

These are the situations we hear most often, and the service we usually recommend as a first step.

Not Sure Which Service You Need?
If you are…Start with
Choosing between platforms, or between a partner-led and an open-source routeConsulting & Architecture
Ready to deploy an agreed design into your environmentImplementation & Integration
Replacing a legacy database, warehouse or integration workloadMigration & Modernization

Services FAQ

Either. Many clients start with a focused architecture assessment or health check. Each service has its own scope and deliverables, so you can stop after any engagement with complete documentation.

Yes. We deliver services for our eight strategic technology partners (ClickHouse, Starburst, Redis, Langfuse, MinIO AIStor, MongoDB, Postman, Strategy) and provide independent engineering for nine community platforms (Trino OSS, ClickHouse OSS, dbt Core & dbt OSS, DataHub Core, PostgreSQL, MongoDB Community, Apache Cassandra, Apache Superset and YugabyteDB).

No. Our open-source support is independent Bassirah engineering. It does not include upstream vendor support, vendor security fixes, long-term-support releases or vendor escalation unless those are separately contracted with the relevant vendor.

Initial response targets for our open-source support packages are published in our support model. Coverage windows, severity definitions and escalation paths are confirmed in each service agreement, based on the platform, environment and staffing agreed. Restoration times are never guaranteed.

On-premises, private cloud and hybrid environments, where the selected technologies support them. Customer-controlled or isolated deployment patterns are designed and validated per engagement.
