Bassirah Technology

INNOVATION & R&D

Engineering Reusable Solutions for Real Enterprise Problems.

Bassirah develops practical accelerators, patterns and implementation approaches that reduce delivery risk, so every engagement starts from proven engineering rather than a blank page.

OUR APPROACH

Less Reinvention. Lower Delivery Risk.

Bassirah develops practical accelerators, patterns and implementation approaches that reduce delivery risk: repeatable reference architectures, automated deployments, data-quality templates, operational runbooks and workload benchmarks.

Enterprise data platforms fail in predictable places: unclear component responsibilities, manual environment builds, untested data, undocumented operations and performance assumptions nobody measured. Our R&D effort targets exactly those points. Every reusable asset is adapted to the customer’s environment, versions and constraints, and validated in that environment before it is relied on.

  • Patterns that document trade-offs, not just components
  • Automation that makes environments reproducible
  • Tests and runbooks that survive handover to your team
  • Measurements taken on representative workloads, not assumed

ACCELERATOR CATEGORIES

What We Build Once and Apply Carefully

These are the categories of reusable engineering we invest in. Specific assets are shared during engagements and adapted to each environment.

Repeatable reference architectures

Documented patterns that define each technology’s responsibility, trust boundaries, data flow and assumptions, used as a starting point for design reviews.

Automated deployments

Infrastructure-as-code and deployment automation approaches for reproducible environments, consistent configuration and controlled upgrades.

Data-quality templates

Reusable testing and validation patterns for analytics engineering, including model tests and documentation conventions.

Operational runbooks

Structured procedures for upgrades, backup and restore, failover and incident response, adapted to each customer’s operating model.

Workload benchmarks

A repeatable method for measuring ingest, query latency percentiles, concurrency and cost against a representative workload during proof of concept. Designed for low-latency / high-throughput workloads; validate against PoC targets.

From Reusable Asset to Validated Result

Accelerators shorten the path to a working design. They never replace validation in your environment.

  1. SelectChoose the patterns and assets relevant to your workload, platforms and constraints.
  2. AdaptAlign versions, adapters, security controls and configuration to your environment and policies.
  3. ValidateTest against agreed acceptance criteria and measure on a representative workload.
  4. Hand overTransfer the adapted assets, runbooks and knowledge to your team or to a managed service.

FOCUS AREAS

Where Our R&D Is Concentrated

Our engineering investment follows the problems customers bring to us most often.

Open lakehouse & federation

Patterns combining object storage, Iceberg tables, federated SQL, transformation and metadata.

Real-time analytics

Analytical serving design, data modeling and caching placement for low-latency workloads.

Production AI & LLM observability

Tracing, evaluation and the data services LLM applications depend on.

Platform reliability

High availability, disaster recovery and tested restore procedures.

About our accelerators

Accelerators are starting points, not guarantees. Compatibility, performance and security outcomes depend on the target environment, software versions and configuration, and are validated during each engagement against agreed acceptance criteria. Bassirah publishes performance figures only when supported by a documented, reviewed measurement.

Innovation & R&D: Common Questions

Reusable engineering assets such as reference architectures, deployment automation, data-quality templates, operational runbooks and workload benchmark methods. They reduce delivery risk by starting each engagement from documented patterns.

No. Accelerators are adapted to your selected platforms, partner-led or open-source, and the resulting assets, runbooks and knowledge are handed over as part of the engagement scope.

We measure performance on a representative workload during a proof of concept, with an agreed test definition. We do not publish generic performance figures; results depend on your environment, data and configuration.

They are used within Bassirah engagements rather than sold as standalone products. The scope of what is delivered is defined in each statement of work.
