Bassirah Technology

TECHNOLOGY ALLIANCES

Collaborating With Technology Leaders. Investing in Open Engineering.

Our stated strategic technology partner portfolio includes ClickHouse, Starburst, Redis, Langfuse, MinIO AIStor, MongoDB, Postman and Strategy. Separately, our Open-Source Engineering practice supports nine community platforms. These portfolios are complementary but commercially distinct.

TWO COMPLEMENTARY PORTFOLIOS

Complementary, But Commercially Distinct

Our stated strategic technology partner portfolio includes ClickHouse, Starburst, Redis, Langfuse, MinIO AIStor, MongoDB, Postman and Strategy. Separately, our Open-Source Engineering practice supports Trino, ClickHouse OSS, dbt Core/dbt OSS, DataHub Core, PostgreSQL, MongoDB Community, Apache Cassandra, Apache Superset and YugabyteDB. These portfolios are complementary but commercially distinct.

PARTNER-LED

Vendor-aligned enterprise solutions

Choose this route when commercial assurances, licensed capabilities and vendor-backed support matter. Bassirah delivers architecture, implementation, integration, optimization and managed operations within each vendor’s commercial program. Licensed features and vendor support apply according to the customer’s own agreement with the vendor.

Strategic Technology Partners

OPEN-SOURCE-FIRST

Independent Bassirah engineering

Choose this route when flexibility, portability and cost control are priorities. Bassirah provides independent engineering services: architecture, deployment, security hardening, performance tuning, upgrades, resilience planning and optional managed operations. This does not imply vendor endorsement, upstream support rights, official security fixes, long-term support releases or vendor escalation unless separately contracted.

Independent Open-Source & Community Support

One engineering partner, two routes to value. We assess workloads and operating constraints before recommending technology.

How the Two Portfolios Differ

Use this comparison to understand what each route includes before you speak with our architects.

STRATEGIC TECHNOLOGY PARTNERS

Eight Strategic Technology Partners

Each partner profile explains the platform’s role, where it fits and how Bassirah delivers it. Wordmarks only; no tier or badge is shown.

ClickHouse

Real-time analytical database for high-throughput, low-latency analytics workloads.

Starburst

Enterprise distribution based on Trino for governed, federated SQL access across data sources.

Redis

In-memory data platform for caching, fast lookups, sessions and real-time application patterns.

Langfuse

LLM engineering and observability platform for tracing, evaluating and improving AI applications.

MinIO AIStor

High-performance, S3-compatible object storage for AI, analytics and lakehouse data.

MongoDB

Document database platform for operational and AI application data, via MongoDB Atlas or MongoDB Enterprise Advanced.

Postman

API platform for designing, testing, documenting, monitoring and governing the APIs over data and AI platforms.

Strategy

Strategy Mosaic semantic layer and Strategy BI for governed metrics, reporting, embedded analytics and AI agents.

OPEN-SOURCE ENGINEERING PRACTICE

Nine Independently Supported Community Platforms

Independent engineering services for community technologies. Each platform page carries a transparency notice describing what is and is not included.

Query Engines

Query Engines

Trino OSS

Open-source distributed SQL engine for federated queries across data sources.

Query Engines

ClickHouse OSS

Open-source edition of the ClickHouse analytical database.

Analytics Engineering & Governance

Analytics Engineering & Governance

dbt Core / dbt OSS

SQL-based transformation, testing and documentation for analytics engineering. Supported releases are stated on the platform page.

Analytics Engineering & Governance

DataHub Core

Open-source metadata platform for discovery, lineage and governance workflows.

Databases

Databases

PostgreSQL

Open-source relational database for transactional and application workloads.

Databases

MongoDB Community

Document database; Community Server is source-available under the SSPL.

Databases

Apache Cassandra

Open-source distributed wide-column database for high-availability, write-heavy workloads.

Databases

YugabyteDB

Distributed SQL database with a PostgreSQL-compatible API; the core database is Apache 2.0 licensed.

BI & Visualization

BI & Visualization

Apache Superset

Dashboards and self-service exploration, deployed and operated with independent Bassirah engineering.

MongoDB Community Server is source-available (SSPL) and is listed under “Open-Source & Community Support” rather than labeled OSI-approved open source.

TRANSPARENT CHOICES

Where the Portfolios Meet

Three technologies appear on both sides of our portfolio. They are separate engagement and support routes, with separate pages.

Illustration of two parallel routes that lead to the same destination

Trino OSS or Starburst Enterprise?

Trino is the open-source distributed SQL engine. Starburst Enterprise is a commercial distribution based on Trino, with additional product capabilities and vendor support options. Bassirah can help evaluate either route based on your security, connectors, operations and commercial requirements.

ClickHouse OSS or partner-led ClickHouse?

These are two procurement and support routes into related technology: partner-led ClickHouse solutions and independent engineering services for the OSS edition. Architecture and available features depend on the selected deployment and entitlement.

MongoDB Community or partner-led MongoDB?

Two routes into the same document database: partner-led MongoDB Atlas or Enterprise Advanced, and independent engineering for self-managed MongoDB Community Server (source-available, SSPL).

Unsure which route fits your workload?

Our architects will compare options against your requirements.

How We Help You Choose

We do not start with a product. We start with your workload and operating constraints.

  1. Understand the workloadData volumes, latency, concurrency, sources and consumers.
  2. Map the constraintsSecurity, residency, compliance, skills, operating model and budget.
  3. Compare routesPartner-led, open-source or a deliberate combination, with trade-offs documented.
  4. Prove itA focused proof of concept against agreed acceptance criteria before full commitment.

Alliances: Common Questions

Strategic partner solutions (ClickHouse, Starburst, Redis, Langfuse, MinIO AIStor, MongoDB, Postman, Strategy) are delivered within each vendor’s commercial program, where licensed capabilities and vendor-backed support may apply. Our open-source support (Trino, ClickHouse OSS, dbt, DataHub, PostgreSQL, MongoDB Community, Cassandra, Superset, YugabyteDB) is independent Bassirah engineering. It does not imply vendor endorsement or upstream support rights.

No. No official upstream support or foundation endorsement is implied by independent Bassirah services. Vendor-backed support applies only where separately covered by an appropriate commercial agreement.

Yes. They represent two procurement and support routes into related technology: partner-led ClickHouse solutions and independent engineering services for the OSS edition. Architecture and available features depend on the selected deployment and entitlement.

MongoDB Community Server is source-available under the Server Side Public License for modern releases. It is included under the broader “Open-Source & Community Support” category rather than labeled an OSI-approved open-source product.

Yes, where it is a deliberate design choice. For example, an open lakehouse may combine MinIO AIStor storage with Trino OSS or Starburst, dbt modeling and DataHub metadata, where compatibility is validated in the target architecture.
